We had an impromptu party, and we called for a catering order the day of...Kusinera came through with flying colors. The food was excellent and I was greeted with a friendly staff upon pickup. Highly recommend!

Really rude service when I asked how it worked there. (There's no dine-in menu or labels on the food.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ) The first lady with an attitude said, "you order and then you eat" to my question. I was shocked. I should've read the other reviews of terrible customer service before going. Food was okay, my (Filipina) mom cooks better. Update to respond: I love the gaslighting. If sometime comes in and asks how it works, and staff responds, "you order then you eat." It's definitively rude. But being rude/disrespectful and being calm aren't mutually exclusive. I don't recall interrupting, but if I did, I am sorry. Your response to my review comes off interesting as well though! There was a catering menu on the wall but I don't recall getting passed an actual menu. And I ordered 2x 1 side and 1 rice dishes. I don't know why it was put all on one plate, it must've been a simple miscommunication. And the no-sharing policy was explain once. The staff (only the first lady really, second lady was fine) was the one who seemed entitled and disrespectful. What part of my review indicated that I wanted special treatment? Or ownership of the restaurant? I think you're taking it too far with you

December 2025 Update: I continue to enjoy the delicious foods and cultural knowledge that Joy and Dennis serve with every meal. The food, service and atmosphere remains wonderful, and I strongly encourage you to try all the entrees and the desserts! * Original review: Everything was incredible. I learned that bitter melon is what Guyanese call "karela" so it was a pleasant surprise to recognize the taste in a different cuisine than I'm accustomed to. We sampled several dishes, all of which were delicious! I recommend the following: Lumpiang Shanghai ("Filipino egg rolls"), Lechon Kawali (deep fried marinated pork belly), Ginisang Ampalaya (Bittermelon sauteed with garlic, onion, tomatoes, egg), Bistek Tagalog (thinly sliced beef, braised in soy sauce and calamansi, garnished with onion rings), Chicken Afritada (Tomato based chicken stew with potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers), and Sisig Pampanga (Minced grilled pork belly seasoned with calamansi and onions). The hospitality at Kusinera is exemplary: it's one thing to go somewhere and have a meal. This was an entirely different experience, we were invited to a feast of amazing cultural dishes, and they shared the heritage of
